Daystar University (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daystar_University) has just unveiled the biggest chess event in Kenya with a prize fund of almost KShs 135,000 or (USD 1,700). For Kenya this is big!
Last's event which was the inaugural event and was a resounding success and the first prize was won by Ugandan Harold Wanyama. I attended the event last year and had a fantastic time. I am not sure if I will attend this year's event as the 2013 Concours d'Elegance Event is being held on 29th September 2013 at the Ngong Racecourse. This is a photos from a past event.
I have enclosed some photos from last years event.
